PHILOSOPHY

As a dedicated Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, I am committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to young patients and their families. My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of developmental psychology and family dynamics, ensuring holistic and effective treatment outcomes.

My practice emphasizes collaborative care, working closely with families, educators, and other healthcare providers to develop personalized treatment plans that address both the immediate needs and long-term goals of my patients.

Throughout my nursing career, I have served in various settings, including drug and alcohol addiction treatment facilities and detox programs, adolescent eating disorder residential treatment facilities, and in Oregon’s juvenile correctional facilities with Oregon Youth Authority, where I have gained expertise in medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. I am passionate about advocacy for mental health awareness and strive to empower young patients and their families to navigate challenges with resilience and hope.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing meditation, and exploring the intersection of spirituality and consciousness. I have an intuitive awareness of the numerous stressors and challenges that today’s youth endure, and an unwavering commitment to their healing and transformation.
